Cybersecurity bucks the tape: Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike surge double digits

PANW and CrowdStrike rallied even as the broader tech tape sold off, lifted by a wave of analyst price-target hikes (Goldman, Wedbush, RBC, Morgan Stanley among them) after PANW's blowout fiscal Q4 and renewed AI-security demand tied to today's safety debate. The Motley Fool, GuruFocus

The forward look
TR:C thesis
The markets were emotional over AI scares yet again. We took it with a grain of salt. The market is looking at Kevin Warsh and the Fed's decision. We are looking at a very slim chance there will NOT be a rate hike. One thing to note that if this hike happens now, expect more to come by the end of the year; rate hikes happen in cycles, they are not one-time events. Also look at the possibility of quantitative tightening: Warsh mentioned rate hikes as the "primary tool" to combat inflation, but is not the only tool the Fed can deploy. Do not expect rate hikes to be a solution for everything; the war raging on will keep exerting upward price pressure, especially energy.
